ENGLAND COUNITES CALL: St Austellīs Toby Robinson, right

ST AUSTELL full back Toby Robinson has gained national recognition after being selected for the England Counties Under-20 side.

The Saints’ number 15 has crowned a spectacular season for the club and fresh from winning the County Cup with St Austell RFC he scored a try for the South West Division Under-20s who despite going down 31-22 to the North turned around a 17-0 deficit at half time.

Toby's standout performance in the divisional game has now seen him picked for the national squad, who will travel to Holland for a tour after a game against Nottingham.

Fly-half Fraser Honey was also confirmed in the starting 15.

Cornwall U20 team manager Chris Lea added: “This is a fantastic honour for the guys but also acts as encouragement for others to come and be part of the county set up. It is additional commitment from your club rugby but you might get the chance to pull on an England shirt.”

The England Counties team is selected from players who have play in this season’s competition for their counties.
