People power prevails as Tregorrick plans scrapped

PEOPLE power has prevailed in the fight to stop Tregorrick Road from becoming restricted to access for residents only as the plans are scrapped after facing a barrage of opposition.
The trial scheme, which was due to begin in October, was being pushed by residents in Tregorrick, who had asked for traffic calming measures to be placed in the village over concerns it was being used as a rat run.
Pentewan Valley Parish Council had called on Cornwall Council to come up with a plan of action to make the road safer.
