Stepping up to save iconic telephone box

AN ICONIC red phone box in Clay Country is being given a new lease of life after parish councillors stepped it to save the “unusual landmark” from being taken away.

St Dennis Parish Council signed the contract for the adoption of the decommissioned telephone box outside Rockwenna Farm in Trerice Terrace earlier this month.

The phone box was going to be removed by BT, but parish councillors agreed to take it on to ensure its survival for the future...
