Dog swallows a fishing hook
LJ with owner Sean

A THREE-year-old labrador narrowly avoided death after swallowing a fish hook which had been dumped on a St Austell beach.

LJ is lucky to be alive after digesting the 2.5 inch fish hook while on his daily beach walk to Carlyon Bay with owner Sean Clancy.

LJ normally enjoys eating seaweed, but Sean spotted something was out of the ordinary when he called LJ over and saw a fishing line hanging out of his mouth.
