Stained glass was smashed at St Paul’s Church, Charlestown

“DESPICABLE” thieves who smashed their way into a number of churches across the St Austell area last week are being hunted by police.

Churches in Par, St Blazey and Charlestown were targeted in a spate of burglaries between November 8 and November 10.

The Church of the Good Shepherd in Par Green was broken into between Wednesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 9 after thieves caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a stain glass window...
