The site

SHELVED plans to build dozens of new homes on the site of a former bus depot in St Austell are back on the table.

Treverran Homes Ltd has revealed revised plans to build 53 apartments on the land at Eliot Road after withdrawing its unpopular proposals for 60 homes in August.

The former plans came up against strong opposition from concerned neighbours, who feared the 1.2-acre scheme would be overcrowded and cause major road disruption, with increased traffic flows and inadequate provisions for the existing site…
